Rotary club of Panvel Mahangar in synergy with their Rotaract and Interact clubs celebtrated the World Sparrow Day on 20th March 2021. Unfortunately now a days due to globalisation and development project, the house sparrows is now disappearing species before sparrows would make their nests on balconies, near windows but in this concrete jungle they have no place to live, we have robbed them of their houses without providing any alternatives. Hence to educate the younger generation about sparrows and other birds, we arranged workshop for rotaracts, interacts and school children to make best out of waste and our President Shyamala Kulkarni taught them how to make food feeder, water feeder and nests from Plastic bottles and cardboard boxes We hang the food feeders water feeders on different trees in Gavdevi Mandir, Usarli, Raigad Jilha Parishad School and in Panvel Area.Children enjoyed the event very much also they were very happy to see their own creations. and realised the importance of doing something for the birds and to save our environment.
