The Interact Club of Panvel Mahanagar, under the mentorship of the Rotary Club of Panvel Mahanagar and Rotary District 3131, celebrated International Youth Day on August 11, 2024. This global occasion, dedicated to recognizing the potential, achievements, and contributions of young people, was marked by a vibrant event where young leaders came together to discuss and share their views on the "Do’s and Don’ts for Youth." The event was led by the young and dynamic leaders of the Interact Club, including President Master Sajan Sah, Vice President Master Jeet Ganesh Fegade, Secretary Miss Arushi Arun Khedwal, Joint Secretary Miss Divya Digambar Darekar, Treasurer Master Akshay Datta, and Joint Treasurer Master Sharanya Swapnil Yaswante. Other enthusiastic participants included Miss Swara Patil, Master Aarush Amritkar, Master Prathamesh Hajare, Master Sarth Patil, Master Atharv Adhao, and Miss Shravani Patil. A special highlight of the event was the presence of the young Chief Guest, Ankit Mehra, who took on the responsibility of judging the youth participants. His role added a unique perspective to the event, as the young attendees felt encouraged and inspired by his feedback. During the event, the Interact Club delivered an important message on environmental sustainability, emphasizing the need to avoid plastic bags and adopt the use of cloth bags. This message resonated strongly with the attendees and reinforced the club’s commitment to promoting eco-friendly practices. The celebration was made even more meaningful through the guidance and support of Rotary Club mentors, including President Rotarian Arun Khedwal, Vice President Rotarian Puransingh Mehra, First Lady Rotarian Shweta Khedwal, Past President Rotarian Sudhir Chakole, Secretary Rotarian Mukund Chaudhari, and Service Project Director Rotarian Sunita Chaudhari. Their mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping the event and empowering these young leaders to make a positive impact on their community. The event was a resounding success, showcasing the energy, enthusiasm, and leadership potential of the youth in Panvel.
